SOME of the biggest names in pop are coming to town - not only can you see them for free, but you can meet Spandau Ballet legend Tony Hadley too.

The Evening Star has teamed up with discount rail booking website www.raileasy.co.uk ahead of The Town 102FM Summer Sessions gig in Christchurch Park next Friday.

Tony will be joined on stage by Rick Astley, ABC, Carol Decker and Go West. They will play some of their many smashes and some specially chosen duets and collaborations.

Gates open at 5pm and you’re encouraged to bring along a picnic to enjoy before the music from 7.30pm. The night will end with a grand firework display.

“We’re all having a great time. We have all known each other for years and for me it’s nice to come out from the Spandau Ballet tour and get straight out with my own band playing some beautiful country houses and having a good laugh,” Tony said, adding fans can expect some favourites and a few surprises.

“I have to do True, Gold and Barricades, but aside from that I just pick songs I think the audience will like and I will enjoy singing. My set has a couple of old songs from Roxy Music and Hall & Oates and new songs from The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs.”

As well as a pair of tickets to the show and a meet and greet with the Spandau Ballet star, you and your guest will also get USB bracelets.

It’s Raileasy to get to a gig - as the company have teamed up with IML concerts to offer 5 off tickets at a number of gigs this summer including Jools Holland or The Summer Sessions tour at various open air venues nationwide.

How about this for an example of Raileasy saving - you could save 74 per cent (8) on a London to Ipswich single fare or 49pc (16) on a return. From Manchester to Ipswich single fare savings are 56pc (20) and 46pc (49.50) on a return.

There are also three pairs of tickets per concert to be won if you sign up for the Raileasy newsletter at www.raileasy.co.uk

You can claim 5 off your ticket by calling the IML box office on 0845 4 961 962 and quoting Raileasy Concert Offer 2010. For more details on savings and the shows visit www.raileasy.co.uk/go/10/summer-concerts and www.imlconcerts.co.uk/pages/terms.php
