Texas have been revealed as the last act of this year’s Newmarket Nights season.
Fronted by Sharleen Spiteri, the band have sold 35million records including three number one albums, seven top 10 albums and 13 top 10 singles including hits Say What You Want, Black Eyed Boy, Summer Son and Inner Smile.Their latest album, Jump On Board, recently saw them catapulted back into the top 10.
Amy Starkey, regional director of Jockey Club Racecourses east region, said: “We look forward to welcoming Texas back to the Adnams July Course for the first time since 2011 for what will no doubt be a fantastic evening of racing and musical entertainment.”
Texas play on July 28.
Other acts already announced include Little Mix on June 23, The Jacksons 50th Anniversary Tour on June 30, Culture Club on July 21, James on August 4, Chase and Status on August 11 and Olly Murs on August 18. Jess Glynne performs at Summer Saturday Live on August 26.
