On foot

Hylands Park is approximately two miles south of Chelmsford town centre on the A414.

Follow the signs from Chelmsford when reaching the festival site and head towards Gate 1.

Please use the walkways created for your convenience and safety.

By train and shuttle bus

If you are taking the train to the festival, you will be able to jump on one of the First buses which are operating a shuttle service between Chelmsford Rail Station and Hylands Park for £5 return.

Buses run from Coval Lane, exit from the front of the rail station and turn left info Fairfield Road.

The shuttle service from V Festival will run from the bus station near yellow campsite.

Check national rail for train times and routes.

On Friday, August 18:

The shuttle bus will be running from 9am until 11pm.

On Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20:

The shuttle bus will be running from 9am-1am.

On Monday, August 21:

The shuttle bus will be running from 6am to 1pm.

By car

If you are driving to the event you will need to follow the road signs to V Festival.

When you are near Hylands Park, don’t use your sat nav as there will be road closures in place.

If you are coming from the south and east, follow the A12 to Chelmsford then follow signs to V Festival.

If you are travelling from the north and west, take the M25, M11 then A414 to Chelmsford then follow the signs to V Festival.

Parking

If you have pre-paid for car parking, ensure your pass is clearly visible on your rear view mirror when near the site.

There are official, supervised and lit car parks.

If you arrive on Friday, parking is £20 per vehicle.

If you are arriving on Saturday or Sunday, parking is £10 per vehicle.

If you are parking for the whole weekend, parking is £25 per vehicle.

You can pay when you arrive but make sure you have the correct cash ready.

Car parking fees are subject to change.

Do not park on the surrounding roads as your car will be towed away.

Sleeping in vehicles in the car parks is not permitted. This is due to fire regulations and for your own safety.

If you are visiting for the day, follow the signs showing P.

If you are camping, follow the signs depicting a tent.

If you are in the yellow campsite you will receive a hanging card for your car, make sure this is displayed and follow the ‘Yellow’ signs.

For caravans, campervans, and trailer tents follow the signs depicting a caravan. This is within an area of the red car park.

Exiting by car

Make sure you are fit to drive before leaving the festival.

Stewards will be there to assist you out of Hylands park however patience is required.

Getting picked up and dropped off

There will be pick up/drop off/taxi points in the blue car park, please follow the road signage.

Some roads will be closed so drivers will need to exit the A12 at Junction 17.
