Shoes signed by Suffolk singer Ed Sheeran after his headline Glastonbury performance are on sale as part of a celebrity charity auction – attracting higher bids than Michael Caine, Chris Martin or Craig David.
Ed’s white leather Pumas had received offers of $500 in the Small Steps auction by Wednesday, with bidding open until Tuesday.
The Small Steps Project wants to inspire everyone to take a small step to make a difference, with funds raised going to “those who need most”, including providing first aid and footwear to children living on rubbish dumps.
Ed, who grew up in Framlingham, said: “I am really proud to be able to support such a great charity that is not only close to the hearts of Glastonbury but to myself and the many artists that take a small step to help children with no shoes at all.”
Other celebrity shoes available for auction include Roger Federer’s Nike trainers, Ozzy Osbourne’s slippers or wellies owned by Blur bassist and farmer Alex James.
