The 23-year-old is contracted to German side Nurnberg but spent last season on loan at Duisburg where his impressive displays convinced Socceroos boss Verbeek to include him in his plans.
His reputation enhanced further when he scored in the 2-1 friendly win against New Zealand shortly before the squad set off for South Africa.
“We had two weeks to show Pim everything everyone’s got. I tried to do my best while I got the chance. I got the chance against New Zealand and it was great to get a debut goal.” Vidosic said.
