ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has denied launching a late bid to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen on transfer deadline day.
Wenger revealed that he came close to making a last minute signing but dismissed speculation it was the Danish international when quizzed during his pre-Liverpool press conference.
When asked if Sorensen was the subject of a late bid from the Gunners he simply said: “No. No.”
