A police cordon is in place after a body was found in an area of woodland in a Suffolk town.
Officers were called to Combs Wood, off Church Road in Stowmarket, at 6.30am on Tuesday after reports a body had been discovered.
A spokesperson for Suffolk police said: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained as a police investigation gets underway."
UPDATE: Town council in shock after body found
Officers are asking that anyone who was in the area between 5am and 6.30am or has any information that could assist officers contact West CID at Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 101, quoting reference CAD 31 of 23 May.
A body was also found in a church graveyard near Violet Hill Road in Stowmarket in late February.
