Three people were taken to hospital after being hurt in what is believed to have been an "explosion" at a pub near Sudbury.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at the Kings Head, in Bures Road, Great Cornard, at 9.58pm on Saturday, April 24.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service dispatched two crews from Sudbury station to the scene.
A statement from Suffolk police released afterwards said: "It is believed the fire was the result of an explosion involving a small camping stove."
Three people were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries and police were still on the scene in the early hours of the morning.
Forensics officers have since been seen at the pub carrying out investigations.
A police cordon was put in place in the pub's beer garden to the rear of the property while officers conducted an investigation.
The Kings Head is a Greene King-licensed pub on the B1508 leading into Sudbury, close to the River Stour.
The pub announced in a Facebook post on Sunday morning that it would be closed for the day while the police probe was ongoing.
Sarah Bond, the pub's licensee, said: "We're closed today following an incident last night.
"We're working closely with the police and authorities. Our thoughts and prayers are with those injured."
Anyone with any information relating to the incident should contact Suffolk police on 101, quoting reference 398 of April 24.
