The best of Suffolk's young musicians are to showcase their talents at a concert at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

The event, which is taking place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral from 7pm on Saturday, March 11 aims to give young musicians in the region the chance to perform in a special venue.

The exciting line-up includes: Aldeburgh Young Musicians, jazz musician Harry Greene accompanied by the Chris Ingham Trio, The St Edmundsbury Cathedral Singers, Oscar Lyons, Christina Johnston and Ashton Jones.

With Charlie Haylock as MC for the evening, the musical acts will all join together for a spectacular finale orchestrated by Harry Green.

The young Suffolk musicians have reached local, national and even international acclaim, playing with a variety of musical legends in their relatively short careers.

Chairman of Suffolk County Council Robert Everitt is the organiser of the concert and is raising funds for his chosen charities, Bury Hard of Hearing and the Gatehouse Dementia Charities.
