A blood donating greyhound called Stevie, who has saved the lives of many of his four-legged friends, has found his forever home.
His new owners have described Stevie as a superstar, a lifesaver, a couch potato and their best friend after adopting him from Suffolk's Greyhound Trust.
Llinos Owen and Liam Barrie from Haverhill who gave the six-year-old dog the forever home said: “We got interested in looking at a greyhound after seeing a clip on Crufts about how much of a good pet they make.
"Stevie settled in very quickly, and quickly found his way upstairs and tucked himself into our bed.
“He goes with us everywhere and is great travelling.
“He is the kindest dog ever. Every person that meets him falls in love with him.
“He regularly donates to the pet blood bank and is a complete star.”
Stevie donates blood for his friends in need, as his breed has a blood type that can be used for most dogs.
What is more, greyhounds have a very placid nature, which makes them perfect to work with for these lifesaving donations.
This is also what makes them such calm and composed companions.

A spokesperson for Greyhound Trust said: “Currently at the trust we home approximately 3,000 to 4,000 hounds per year.
“As far as the ideal candidate goes, the great thing about greyhounds is that there really is a greyhound for everyone.
“They don’t need loads of exercise, but if you fancy an adventure or have an active lifestyle, a younger greyhound will enjoy that, but also love having couch potato days.
“Older greyhounds make amazing companions for older people as they require only two short walks per day.
“Greyhounds are very healthy – they experience much fewer health problems than other pedigree breeds, and their calm temperament also makes them lovely with children or even as therapy dogs.”
