In an hour of goat antics, laughter and soul-healing yoga, reporter Dolly Carter reviews the goat yoga classes held at Easton Farm Park in Woodbridge.

Having turned to yoga sessions from the likes of YouTube and Apple Fitness+ when Covid hit, I've dabbled in the world of yoga before and definitely couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend time with one of my favourite animals - goats.

While my pre-recorded lockdown classes offered some semblance of connection to thousands of other yogis during the pandemic, I had quite forgotten the benefit of group exercise classes.

Barring the presence of East Anglian Daily Times photographer Charlotte Bond, everyone else who attended was a complete stranger.

And yet the goats, wandering around the paddock in search of a tasty treat and nibbling food from our yoga mats, brought us together for a common purpose.

At the start of the class, yoga teacher Diana Malone, 60, reminded us that animals give us an unconditional love that can be so hard to find in our modern world.

A range of gentle exercises and poses helped us appreciate our surroundings, with an almost ethereal summer breeze carrying blossom petals down from the trees in the paddock.

We couldn't have asked for a better day and, luckily, the animals were in high spirits and our yoga mats were spared from any goat-related mishaps.

As we completed our sun salutations, the goats were free to roam the paddock visiting the yogis for cuddles and were surprisingly well selfie-trained.

For just £20 for over an hour, these yoga sessions are the perfect gift for the goat fanatic in your life or even for a mental health reset as a bit of self care.

Both good for your heart and good for your soul, I'd recommend the experience to anyone.
