One Suffolk business has created an afternoon tea with a chocolatey twist - and there's a unique way to win the experience.

At Queens Bar & Grill, a Wonka inspired afternoon tea will bring something new to Bury St Edmunds this summer.

Paying homage to the original Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory movie, it features sandwiches, cakes, scones and sweet treats that have been designed to recreate scenes from the 1971 classic.

And staying true to the film's plot, there will be a race to find five golden tickets in order to win a free afternoon tea.

Ben Hutton, owner of Queens Bar & Grill, explains: "I thought it'd be nice to do something themed and we went with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because we've got a new dessert shop called Crumbs.

"At Crumbs, we're going to be selling little Queens/Wonka bars with five golden tickets to win a free afternoon tea for two."

"It's a good theme for people to just book but also adds a little bit of novelty to coincide with the film that you could pop into the shop and have a chance of winning it for free."

Mr Hutton opened Crumbs in Lower Baxter Street in November 2022 and said the shop would be "filling a gap" for unique desserts in the town.

Also at the afternoon tea experience, customers will be treated to a chocolate fountain with goodies for dipping as a way to recreate the movie's iconic chocolate river.
