A west Suffolk town has been nominated for an award about dogs.

Bury St Edmunds has been shortlisted for best city/town in the DogFriendly Awards 2023.

The town is desribed as "the ideal place to enjoy a short break or holiday with every member of the family - including the furry variety."

There is a Dog Friendly Bury St Edmunds scheme already in place in the town.

Where you see a #dogfriendlybse paw print logo sticker displayed in windows, it means that business welcomes dogs.

The initiative was set up by Bury St Edmunds Town Council, Camp Tails Doggy Daycare, Our Bury St Edmunds BID and Bury St Edmunds and Beyond.

A blue paw print also marks where dog friendly businesses are on the Our Bury St Edmunds BID Town Map.
