A village coffee shop has been put on the market just eight months after it opened - as the owner looks to pursue an "exciting business project".

Rossa Coffee Shop opened its doors in Station Hill, Thurston, in August last year, after the premises was bought by Thurston Butchers.

However, owner Alistair Angus has revealed it is now up for sale.

He said: "I have made the tough decision to sell the coffee shop.

"I have recently been given the opportunity to work on some exciting business projects this year which I am super keen to push forward with. After much thought I know that realistically something has to give in order for me to have enough time and energy.

"I absolutely love Rossá Coffee Shop and I'm gutted that I can't be a part of this journey here anymore. I am so incredibly proud of what we have achieved to transform the business since taking over."

The shop will remain open as normal while a buyer is sought.
