Ipswich Town Women's boss Joe Sheehan said he was pleased with his side's performance and how the Tractor Girls were able to see out the win over MK Dons at the AGL Arena this afternoon.
Town defeated MK Dons with a goal from Town legend and all-time top goalscorer Natasha Thomas making the difference.
Sheehan said: "I think we had a comfortable first half.
"We started great and we were able to create numerous chances without really capitalising on them, but we were able to get the first goal.
"We were hoping to come out in the second half and create more and potentially put the game to bed, we weren't quite able to do that.
"But if you are not able to put the game away, then you need to make sure you don't concede, and we managed to see the game out quite well."

Winger Sophie Peskett was named as Player of the Match, causing consistent issues for the MK defence.
Sheehan added: "We see a lot of the ball down that side.
"We caused all sorts of problems and it was a really solid performance from Peskett again."
Town defender Evie Williams, added: "I think we created a lot of chances which gave us the win.
"As a defender you always want to keep a clean sheet, and we're happy to have done that today and we strive to do it more.
"I think overall, it was a good performance.
"When it's 1-0, you're going to become a little bit more under pressure towards the end of the game and it can become nervy. We had to adapt, but we were able to grind out the three points."
The 17-year-old has been a mainstay in the Town squad since Megan Wearing's unfortunate injury at the start of the year.
She said: "I was involved in parts before Christmas but obviously, the injury made me have to come in.
"I have really learned a lot over the season.
"I've had a red card, but it has been a really good learning experience for me.
"Having Bos (Maria Boswell) beside me too has really helped so I am looking forward to the last three games and then for next season where I can continue to develop."
Sheehan finished by saying: "We have three games left, we want to finish strong because we want to prove to ourselves that we can win games and play well at this level and take some confidence into next year."
