Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has confirmed that the club are working on a loan deal for Como striker Ivan Azon and said there are still a few more positions he wants to strengthen before the transfer window shuts.
Como boss Cesc Fabregas revealed yesterday that Spanish front man Azon, 22, had travelled to Suffolk to complete a loan move for the 2025/26 season.
"Because Como have announced it, I think it's fair to confirm he's travelled over to England," said McKenna, speaking ahead of Sunday lunchtime's Championship home clash with Southampton.
"I have to say there's no deal complete yet. And we've seen situations over the last few years where a deal is not complete until it's complete. So I don't think there's too much point saying any more on it until it gets to that stage.

"He's a player that we like. The recruitment team here tracked him Real Zaragoza, so he's been a player of interest over the summer.
"If a deal gets completed we'll look to integrate him and then I can speak about what he can bring to the team."
Yesterday, Nathan Broadhead (Wrexham, £7.5m) joined Liam Delap, Sam Morsy, Axel Tuanzebe and Cameron Burgess in departing the club this summer.
Town's currently squad looks light on midfield and attacking depth, while a left-back may also be required due to Conor Townsend suffering a season-ending knee injury.

"There's a few positions that we feel that we need to be stronger in to really be the top side that we want to be," admitted McKenna, who recently brought in midfielder Jens Cajuste (Napoli) and forward Chuba Akpom (Ajax) on loan deals.
"I don't believe that there's anything very, very close. We have a few weeks left in the window (closes at 7pm on September 1) and we've got probably a busy few weeks ahead from that perspective.
"But honestly, I think the biggest challenge, and I know it's a challenge for the supporters as well, is that we all have to be really united going into Sunday.
"Players leaving, players coming, rumours in one direction, the other direction - that all needs to be blocked out because we have a really tough start to the season with competitive games.

"We're not quite in the position that we want to be in for those games and if our focus isn't 100% on the task at hand, then we're going to come up short.
"There'll be lots of opinions, but I just say to everyone coming to the stadium on Sunday, we really need to be together as a group. If they can bring that top, top support that we've had there over the years it'd be a big, big help for the group and give us a much better chance of getting performance and the result that we want."
